Many slow organizations do not have a speed problem. They have an ownership problem.
Name the decision
“Marketing” is not a decision. “Approve the final campaign spend” is. Precision makes ownership possible.
Separate input from authority
Many people can contribute evidence or constraints while one person remains accountable for the call.
Set escalation thresholds
Routine decisions should stay close to the work. Escalate when consequences, irreversibility, cross-functional conflict or policy exposure exceed agreed boundaries.
Review the system
If the same decision is repeatedly escalated, the architecture is telling you that ownership, information or policy needs redesign.
Keep exploring
Turn the idea into an operating move.
Continue with a practical resource, a structured system, or an advisory conversation when context matters.
